FAQ on H.I.D. installation
1、 Q:How is safety performance of Hid xenon lights?
A:Our Company’s products "ballast" has strict anti-magnetic and anti-interference circuit, and the supporting electronic ballast will automatically cut off the circuit when the products work under any abnormal condition. So it can be assured that cars and people will not have any risk when using them.
2、 Q:What car types are HID lights suitable for?
A:Since our company have the xenon lamps of various type, such as: H1, H3, H4, H7, H8, H9, H10, H11, H13, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, almost all cars can be applied.
3、 Q:Is it convenient to install HID kit?
A:Actually, to install hid is have the original car headlamps’ halogen bulbs removed, replaced with same model of xenon bulbs. And installing ballast while drilling raises antenna on the dustproof, and install relays line. So it is very easy. But consider the security, it’s suggested the operation be finished by professional electrician.
4、Q:Is hid bulb waterproof?
A:All our hid bulbs and electronic ballasts have been tested by soak experiments, so the hid lights and ballasts are definitely waterproof. Customers can rest assured.
5、Q:Since the real cover of many cars’ headlamps is sealed, how to put off the wiring antenna?
A: If the rear cover was sealed ,using the 25MM borer drill a hole at the rear cover and then seal waterproof cap rear cover and make sure it’s corresponding.
6、Q:Does the hid installation need replace fuses?
A:At the start moment, the HID kit will generate 20,000-30,000 volts electricity and large currents, and the original car fuses is usually for 10A, we recommend you change the fuses into 15-20A, but no need to replace fuses after installing relays wiring.
7、Q:If install the HID ballast 12V input by mistaking the anode and cathode, will it destroy the ballast?
A:Definitely not. If the input connecter installed by mistake, the protection circuit of the ballast power will automatically disconnect, and not burn ballast. But no long-time power supply.
8、Q:To install the Hid lights, whether it necessary to remove the front lampshade for all car model?
A:No. If there is enough space for the installation, no need to remove the whole light.
9、Q:How to distinguish the ballast good or bad?
A:By international standards. The ballast could reach 20% of the brightness after 1 second, to 80% after 4 seconds could be called good ballast. On contrast, the kind of instant brightness or reach 80% during less than four second is in less better quality.
10、Q:On the market, The bulbs currently have the color temperature of 4300K, 5000K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K 12000K etc, and which color is the best choose?
A:There is usually a misunderstanding of color temperature. People usually think the higher the temperature is, the brighter the light shines. In fact, the unit is lumen brightness degrees (M), 4300K is close to natural light, 5000K is blue, 8000K is white with slight blue, 6000K white point is slightly blue, 12000K is indigo light, 10000K is already a flower is. Generally, we take the 4300K~6000K as our suitable and best choice.
11、Q:As we know, H4 headlight is the most common one. However, many users found that the light effects are not so good, if both the high beam and the low beam are HID xenon light, is that true?
A:yes, it is. There maybe some problems for the H4 moving H/L light:
(1)Because the H4 moving H/L kit is generally pneumatic, magnetic, with hydraulic pressure or with motors, the kits easily lose its flexibility and become single light after using a few months.
(2)Due to the lamp holder for H4 moving H/L kit is much long, the installation is difficult and easily damage the lighting fittings of original cars. Besides, water easily leak into the lamps.
(3)H4 moving H/L kit may damage the lamp cover of the original car headlight, which will make the light unfocused.
(4)As we know, the original H4 headlights are both halogen lights with close tungsten filaments for high beam and low beam. However, for H4 moving H/L headlight, it is impossible to do so. Therefore the HID high beam can not well meet the demand of standard light and can not be well-focused, which will be dangerous to the driver as well as other cars. Besides, the H4 moving H/L kits are inclined to leakage. Sometimes the ballasts maybe burned; therefore it is much dangerous to the drivers and cars.
